Senior Accounts Executive

Job Description & Summary

  • Under limited supervision handles hands-on operational and technical accounting for the consolidations and month-end closing process by working with accountants of different entities, and clients.
  • Applying technical accounting knowledge to complex accounting issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the statutory reporting process of international entities by working closely with appointed auditors and other professional parties.
  • Managing the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations on a timely basis.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports, including annual and quarterly reports, in compliance with U.S  Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and other relevant regulations.
  • Managing and coordinating audit processes, including working with external auditors to ensure that financial statements are accurate and comply with all regulatory requirements on a timely basis.
  • Participate in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen client’s internal controls.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for corporate entities, ensuring they comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Spots errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participates in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualification:

  • Qualification: Chartered Certified Accountant – ACCA certified or Equivalent
  • At least 5+ years related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel in relation to financial modeling and data analytics, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Competent accounting knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
  • Attentive to details, with high standards of accuracy and precision
  • Highly analytical coupled with strong commercial acumen
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Committed and driven to meet deadlines, targets, and objectives.
  • Must be a Malaysian Citizen.
  • Must fluent in Mandarin.
  • Competent accounting knowledge in US GAAP would be a strong added advantage.
